Macbook Pro white fading border around the edges of the display

In my 15" Macbook Pro (2015 model) there is a white blurred border which appears even in the apple logo screen at boot time. It sometimes becomes very bright and the content behind it becomes invisible. Other times the display does not work at all. How can I fix this?

Hi,

It's almost certainly a hardware issue. I would bring the Mac to an Apple Store “genius” bar for a free diagnosis: https://support.apple.com/contact

I had this same issue and have a solution!

Contacted Apple support and they said it was a resolution issue.

The fix... very simple. Set your desired resolution by going into System preferences > Display.

Once you have done this, Go into System preferences > Desktop & Screen Saver and then choose a new picture. It will automatically adjust to the new settings and the border will disappear.

Hope this helps.
