Wet Iphone 6

My Iphone 6 was in my backpack and I got caught in the middle of a rainstorm. When I made it to my car I took it out and tried to shake the water off/out of the phone. I tried to turn it off but I just kept getting the white apple screen. I had about an hour travel time before I got home, when I did I put it in a bag of rice for 2 days. Today I put it on the charger, at first I got the black screen with the battery and it had 1 red line on the battery, then it started going to the white apple screen and flashing off and on. Is this phone hopeless? Should I take it into an Apple store to see if there is any hope? Thanks.
