Doesn't work. I'm using Safari 10.1.1 and 10.10.5 Yosemite, just to be clear. I have already tried deleting the plist for safari, but it doesn't work.
Any other suggestions please. This really has me stumped.
In previous versions , click on safari > reset safari option was there but using as Mac OS Sierra this default option is not there .
Deleting safari plist will reset it completely , did you tried to that may be it is Mac OS X Yosemite , Mac OS X El- Capitan or Mac OS Sierra .
The procedure applies for all Versions .
Doesn't work. Tried deleting the .plist for Safari. It's not the fix anymore. Something has changed in Safari 10.1.1 or maybe something changed in Yosemite.
Nope. Deleting the .plist for Safari does not restore the preferences in Safari 10
I used all those techniques a couple weeks ago, none of them will reset the preferences in Safari 10.
Oh, how I wish it was like the good ol' days. But deleting the .plist file for safari no longer resets the preferences.
By deleting the safari plist the machine settings goes to default and once again you have to set your homepage after that you can open the safari preferences and do the settings manually .
Did you restart the computer after deleting the .plist?
