How do I make my Apple ID info private?

I texted someone and they were able to see all of my personal info from my Apple ID info such as my work address, my home address, and my full name by clicking on my picture. How do I make it so that only I can access this information? I really don't want everyone I text knowing exactly where I live and work.

After selecting "My card" my email addresses and FaceTime is listed. There is not an option to remove my personal address or my work address. If I select "Edit" it takes me to a screen to add an address, but does not provide an option to remove the addresses that are showing to everyone if I text them.

Here's a screenshot of what shows if someone clicks my name after receiving a text from me. I used a brand new Apple ID to send a text to using my personal phone so it had no records of any contact information. But upon clicking my name all personal information shows up.User uploaded file

No. It's current.

In your Contacts app, select, as shown in my screen shot, Choose Card > Go to My Card

Edit the card if you wish, or as also shown, select another card to be the card that is shared.

You can also make your card private.
