my iphone charging cable went for a wash wif my pants in the washing machine... i am still able to use it but what are the defects while using it . will i get an electric shock. Shld i replace my cable wif a new one . or is there a away to dry it. Or

No, your not going to get an electric shock. It's possible that the components in the cable that cause the phone to recognize it as an original Apple cable may corrode and fail. If you used it and there was still water on the end, you could have gotten water in your phone which is never good.

If it were my cable, I'd buy another one.

I'm not sure how many more times I can give you the same answer: If it's dry and it works, I don't think there's much harm in using it. Just be aware that it could fail at any time.

Please don't post in more than one place. You posted again in another forum five minutes after the first post here, and 'seventy one' answered it (with the same answer) as IdrisSeabright did here; so you've wasted the time of one of them.

If the cable went through the wash, I'd say the chances that water got in it are almost 100%. If it's dry and it works, I don't think there's much harm in using it. Just be aware that it could fail at any time.
