Logic Amp Sims

I am trying to record electric guitar into Logic Pro. I am using a Mackie Onyx Blackjack interface with my guitar plugged directly into it and then straight into Logic. I cannot seem to get a decent sound from any of the amp sims no matter what I do. I just doesn't sound realistic to my ears. Is there another way to record guitar through the interface without micing up a guitar amp? I am unable to do this as I live in in small apartment. I am looking for the sound and feel of a real tube guitar amp when recording. Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks. I have tried this and still am not getting the sounds I am looking for.

Was thinking about getting something like Pocket POD and running that into the audio interface.

Would this be an improvement over the software amp sims in Logic?

I've never liked computer based amp sounds although some of the clean and/or Metheny jazz type sounds are ok, distorted/crunched/cranked amp sounds just don't seem to cut it. So yes, I think you would be better off using a hardware amp sim. I tried a Pod when it first came out, didn't like it either but I think they've improved. I used a VAmp2 in a local studio and thought it sounded pretty good for the sound the producer wanted.
