Another way to do what you want is to download and run Find Any File and run a search for any files with the following in the file name:

Name contains com.rim

Any files that are found can be dragged from the search results window to the Desktop or Trash bin in the Dock for deletion.

FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders, system folders and packages.

In the Finder, press the key sequence shift+command+G (Go to Folder). Copy/paste the following into that dialog, followed by clicking Go.

/System/Library/Extensions

This will open a Finder window on the folder containing device drivers. Locate the two package folders, named:

  • com.rim.driver.BlackBerryUSBDriverInt
  • com.rim.driver.BlackBerryUSBDriverVSP

Click, and drag/drop these into your Trash folder in the Dock. You will be prompted for your administrator (login) password as part of this removal process.

When you have done this, then there are two more RIM items to remove. Again, using the Finder, access the Go To Folder dialog, and copy/paste the following, followed by clicking Go.

/System/Library/LaunchDaemons

Locate the following, and drag/drop it into your Trash.

com.rim.BBDaemon.plist

From the Finder, press shift+command+G once more, and enter the follwing into the dialog, before pressing Go.

/System/Library/LaunchAgents

Once in that directory location, you want to drag the following files to the Trash:

  • com.rim.BBAlbumArtCacher.plist
  • com.rim.BBLaunchAgent.plist

At this point, you have removed the RIM kernel drivers, LaunchAgents, and LaunchDaemons. Reboot your Mac, and if you choose, run EtreCheck again to confirm they are gone.
