In that case just press the Car Play button on the media center screen.
The Car Play screen in Settings is only for the setup for cars that support wireless Car Play.
The 2016 Civic only supports USB CarPlay.
It will not appear in the Car Play screen.
You don't have a head unit that supports CarPlay. You can't use CarPlay. CarPlay requires a CarPlay compatible system installed in the car, which you don't have. If your dealer told you that car had CarPlay, they lied.
Your unit does not support Car Play. The Touch screen enabled units are the ones that support Car Play. without the touch screen, there is no Car Play.
You can use the Bluetooth connection features, such as music playback and call answering, but that is not Car Play.
Hello Phil0124. Yes it is.
Thank you! I still cannot get this to work but I appreciate your advice.
It is not displaying that. I also do not have the touch screen.
What do you mean you don't have the touch screen? Did you check the manual for your car to make sure you actually have CarPlay?
Thank you Kilted Kim! And yes I was told it had CarPlay. Guess I was fooled! Thank you for all the replies!
Thank you Phil0124. My dealer told me I had it which was a lie. I appreciate all your feedback in trying to assist me.
