What does Apple care Protection plan cover?

So my laptop fell (I was careless) and the metal above the audio jack is bent upwards- it kind of prevents the laptop from closing. My headphones are done but the audio jack on the MacBook itself still works. I tried to mold the metal back down, but I just can't. I do have the apple care protection plan on it, so I am just wondering will the plan cover it or am I just gonna have to deal with it? Thanks.
