Setting up icloud email on android error message

Am trying to set up my icloud email account on an Android phone (Doro 8030). I have carefully followed all the instructions in setting it up. As follows:

User name (excluding the '@icloud.com part . Email address and Password. Incoming Server: imap:mail.me.com. Security Type SSL, Server Port: 993. Outgoing Server: smtp.mail.me.com . Security Type SSL (I have also tried STARTTLS). Server Port: 587. However when I finally press 'Confirm' I get the following Message: 'Could not connect to email server, please check your email settings. '

I cannot get any further than this.

If you are using a non-Apple email app - or an older one such as on Snow Leopard - then you will need an app-specific password to use instead of your normal iCloud password. In order to do this you need to set up two-factor authentication for your Apple ID, and for this you need to have either a Mac running el Capitan or above, or an iOS device running iOS9 or above.

If you are unable to set up two-factor authentication you should set up 2-step verification and use that to create an app-specific password.

That's correct. For the incoming server, imap.mail.me.com, Apple say you should use just the text before the '@', but they suggest that if you have problems you could try the full address.

For the outgoing server, smtp.mail.me.com, Apple say you should use the full address.

Do you have two-factor authentication enabled?
