Just like the title, how do I exit split view mode and enter full screen mode right away without having to press a button twice and wait 10+ seconds for all the animations to play through?
I would have thought the green button in the top left corner would have done it, but instead it does the opposite of what I expected, makes the app go to desktop mode.

I don't want to exit full screen mode, wait for the animation to go to the desktop mode. Press full screen wait for animation again, then be good.
I believe what you just stated is what you have to do after exiting split screen. You can also invoke Mission Control and put an app in another Desktop, make it Full Screen then swipe between the two.
Sorry, I don't use Full Screen for anything. I use multiple Desktops in Mission Control to go back and forth.
Correct. When you exit Full Screen mode from one screen it should exit split screen mode. Isn't that what you wanted to do?
Alright, no problem. The app I'm using (Microsoft RDP) won't change aspect ratios unless it's full screen or split view. So I can't do split screen using desktop mode sadly.
