Hello, I'm on iOS 10.3.2 & I'm using an iPhone 5. I don't know why but I found the auto brightness toggle on Setting>General>Accessibility>Magnifier

I don't know if Apple misplaced it or intentionally put it there.User uploaded file

Hey Ja Naw,

If I understand correctly, you want to enable Auto-Brightness but the option is missing. I would recommend you read this article, it shows where the option should be. You can try to restart the iPhone and see if that helps. If it is still not available you may want to restore the iPhone to factory setting to see if the option reappears. Make sure to backup first to keep your data secure.
  1. Go to Settings > Display & Brightness.
  2. Drag the slider to the right or left.
  3. If your iOS device has an ambient-light sensor, you’ll see an Auto-Brightness setting under the slider. Auto-Brightness uses a light sensor to adjust brightness based on your surroundings. This setting can sometimes improve battery life.

Adjust the display settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Like HILMI SYAHIR, my iPhone 6s with iOS 11.0.3, has the Auto-Brightness option under General>Accessibility>Magnifier. Only thing under General>Accessibility>Display Accomodations, in regards to auto-brightness, is the old note "Turning off auto-brightness may affect battery life"; there is no selectable option for auto-brightness under Display Accomodations for me.

Ok I found my solution.... some phone auto brightness will work if you go to: General>Accessibility>Magnifier

.

For my phone which is 6s, this option didn’t work for me, I can slide button to on and off, but my screen brightness didn’t change.

Instead I found this option works for my phone: General>Accessibility>Display Accomodations.

I have both the 6s Plus and 7 Plus and both running 11.1.2 and I have turned on Auto Brightness in both locations but I don't really see a change. I will have to go into an area where the lighting is poor and see the phone makes that adjustment.

The concern I have is the battery drain if the Auto Brightness is on. In past phones, it was recommended to turn OFF auto brightness to save battery life. I am not sure that Apple has fixed that problem.
