app names can't be longer then 50chars so I would avoid making my iPhones name longer also

How much was kept after you tapped 'done' ? After I got to 64 characters I could continue typing but they weren't saved after tapping 'done'

I try enter 63 character, and tap done. I confirm saved.
Next, I try add one character, and tap done. I don't confirm saved.(63 charas entering, not 64 charas.)
multi-byte-character is same.

My iPad seems to let me go up to 64 characters for its name (if I counted correctly), before it ignores any subsequent characters.
