iOS 10.3.2 causing wifi issues

I've updated to my three devices to iOS 10.3.2 and I'm having serious network issues at the newest of them (iPhone 7). The issue is that the wifi connection is extremely slow and it looks only one connection at the time is being served (e.g. while using one app that uses Internet I can't use other app that does the same - example: when AppStore is downloading an update, Safari won't open a page untill AppStore is done).

I've tried to forget and reconnect to wifi, and later I've reseted all network settings but it hasn't helped. This happens with multiple wifis, so I believe the issue is with the iPhone, not with my router or anything else.

I'm surprised as my other iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 have no issues and their wifi is working as a charm.

Can anyone suggest some other tricks I can try? I'm leaving restoring my iPhone as the very last resort...

I've browsed tens of old threads and it looks I've found the issue... The wifi goes full speed when I disable bluetooth (with BT on - 0.65 mbit / without BT - 42 mbit). It has never happened before with previous firmwares, looks it's the 10.3.2 exclusive issue.

I really need BT on constantly as I keep my headphones on most of the time and I use my handsfree in my car. Temporarily I can live with switching BT on and off but not for long.

Looks the only long term solution is to wait for 10.3.3 and keep fingers crossed this issue would go away... 😟

My wife has had same issue since upgrading to iOS 10.3.2 on her iPad Air. After trying various tips here and elsewhere to no avail I noticed that there was some new option under Settings about switching on 2 Factor Authentication which she had not done anything with. I drilled into this option and chose the Do NOT to enable now (or words to that effect) option. After this hey presto the wifi response time suddenly soared from around 1 Mbps to 36 Mbps. No idea what happens if you choose to switch this option ON but with it OFF it has defo fixed this issue. 😜Come on Apple we shouldn't have to do your legwork for you ☹.

I have issues where wifi will run very slow and will just stall; status showing webpages are loading will stop before the pages loads, apps won't load, etc. If I turn off wifi on my phone and then turn it back on, it will work for a few minutes, only to have the same thing happen multiple times per day. It happens anywhere that I'm connected to wifi, so it's not only in my home. It's a huge pain cause I have a very low data plan through Verizon (2 gigs a month). I have such a limited data plan cause I'm almost always on wifi. I've changed the DNS to Google (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4), but to no avail. I rarely use Bluetooth, so that's not the issue. I have other non-apple devices hooked to my network and am having no issues with those. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Apple needs to figure this out NOW. Enough already!!!!

Another reason on the chalkboard to go to an android.

Brutal...

one of the most useful aspects of a smart phone is the bluetooth capabilities...and the fix is to: 1.forget the bluetooth device; 2. reset network connections 3. add device again? Every time we want to use our headphones? Really?

ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has been a few months now. Get this fixed. You should be embarrassed!

The Fix should be have been launched within a week of hearing 100000000 people with this issue.

An update on my iPhone 5 and wifi issues. I went so far as to reset my phone. I had Apple support help me. He ran a diagnostic test on my phone and I was told that it was a hardware issue not software. It would cost 269.00 to fix it. I'm not convinced since, there are so many other people with similar problems so, I decided to wait until the next update before I spend a lot of money on it, as hard as it will be to wait. I still believe it is IOS 10.3.2.

Last week i updated my iPhone 6 to iOS version to 10.3.2 and all of a sudden my Office WiFi is not getting connected. the message i am getting is "unable join the network ..." , although i could connect to home Wifi and Hotspot enabled WiFi. i have been trying to reset my all settings and networks settings but could not connect, initially i thought it was some-other issue and was restarting my phone. today i checked with our office IT team , especially the network person, and after trying all the tricks and ways ,found the issue is with the new iOS update, and no issues with the network. as per the network guy , the compatibility is changed in between new iOS version and office WiFi network.

the only solution is either going back to older version (which i don't think i can ) since i udpated my iphone through wireless and not through Desktop Itunes ; and the other solution is only if Apple releases a bug fix for this issue or a new version .

so until then i need to use my mobile data .

regards and thanks.

All the same problems here too. Wifi doest work, battery drains fast and google maps doesnt work. Apples solution was that i wipe my phone clean and restore. They have wasted my time and lost half my data in the process.

this is a major flaw in the new ios 10.3.2. I cant begin to think how long it will take them to fix this. In the meantime i have limited wifi, barely any battery and no direction from maps.... as another user said, it may be time to move to samsung. Quite sick and tired of these apple issues.

I have been struggling with my WIFI too. I have iPhone 5S and it has caused major data usage because I didn't know that the phone is dropping my wifi and I had been using cellular data. Thanks to Apple now I have a major bill to pay as in Canada it costs a lot to have overage data.

I have done anything you can find to resetting and changing WIFI creating customized wifi. It is a major mess that Apple needs to resolve.

Hi, same issues than you.

I have iPhone 6 - and since last update, I can hardly use my GPS apps (Google Maps, Maps and Waze) since GPS don't locate me.

I have also WIFI disconnections at home - box is just a few meters from me....the WIFI name is not even listed in the available networks.

I am working now on my MacBook - and no issues at all with WIFI

What's wrong??? 😠

my colleague updated from 10.3.2 to 10.3.3 ...still he could not connect to wifi,,

i was hoping the recent update patch 10.3.3 will help to resolve the issue, been waiting since 1 month without office wifi..... while my colleagues who did not update at all are lucky using WiFi ....and those in android are lucky too...

why only we who did the last update has to suffer....

is Apple listening to the customer complaints ...will there be any fix......

Jul 26, 2017 7:07 PM in response to Auggb

Hard to believe, so there's a new update and it's not able to fix the biggest issue a mobile device can suffer.... connectivity!

Where's Apple? Can not conceive the idea of releasing a new software update without hard testing before, this is incredibly irresponsible from Apple.

They charge us around 1,000 USD per mobile and they have the distinct ability of getting even worse. Come.on guys. Be professional and fix this now!

Same problem... 😟 😟 😟

I bought iPhone 6s 2 months ago. I didn't have that problem since week ago.... This is so annoying....I regret leaving android.... I can't believe that apply support don't do nothing...Shame...Thanks to my other phone(huawei) I didn't have large problem with my work.... 500 euros with this problem....

sorry for my bad english....
