how to change cell formatting in Numbers from link to text?

Adding to these replies,

Method 1: select the cells with links and Menu > Edit > Copy (command c)

Menu > Edit > Paste and Match Style

The underline has gone, and the data are now text (not links).

Method 2: use the PLAINTEXT function in another column

Formula in C2 (and Fill Down) =

PLAINTEXT(B2)

Use the cell formatter:

Change the "Character Style" to "None"

To remove a link and leave the text:

Widen the cell so there is white space to the right of the link:

Triple-click to select the link text:

Choose Remove Link from the Format menu:
