Hi Mindy,

If you do not see the Favorites widget when you slide your screen to the Today View you will need to add the widget to the screen. The steps from the article above will walk you through adding widgets to the Today View.

Add or remove Widgets in the Today View

You can add and remove Widgets and even reorder them so your favorite ones are at the top.

Swipe right over the Home screen, Lock screen, or Notification Center.

Scroll to the bottom and tap Edit.

To add a Widget, tap . To remove a Widget, tap . To reorder your Widgets, touch and hold next to the apps and drag them in the order you want.

To finish, tap Done.

If you go to the Today screen, scroll down to the bottom and you should see an Edit button. Tap on that and you get the ability to edit the Today screen. If you scroll down, you can click on the ➕ button next to Favorites. That will add that to the Today screen. You need to have Favorites identified in your phone app first to be able to see individuals there. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand from your post that you would like a widget for your best friends on the home page of your iPhone 7 Plus. While the exact feature you are looking for is not available, there is a Favorites widget available to you on the Today view of your iPhone. To see your best friends in the Favorite widget open your friend's contact and select Add to Favorites. Then choose which phone number if they have more than one you want added to Favorites. To access the Today view slide your screen to the right either from the Lock screen or Home screen.

Thanks for answering but I don't understand this part : To access the Today view slide your screen to the right either from the Lock screen or Home screen. I have slid and I don't get favorite people. I do get other interesting things!

Very interesting and helpful. But still no basic favorites list to be found on that page. Hmmm. I might be being slow. New user to APPLE PHONE.

Hoping to get a list of my favorite people quick to find. So people widgets. I do know siri can help me get to them.

But sometimes I want to do it myself with quick moves.
