Can't access my mac via ASUS aicloud 2.0

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I have an ASUS router RT-N66U with AiCloud 2.0 iOS app and I'm trying to connect to my Mac Mini remotely which is running Mac OS X Sierra 10.12.4.however the AiCloud software keeps asking for authentication. I have file sharing set up and turned on on the Mac. When the Authentication window pops up within the iOS app I would think its looking for my user/login on the mac but that just doesn't work. Can someone shed some light on this ?

Thanks

Tony

As long as you're using the latest macOS version, the next step is to contact the manufacturer of those products for support. Specifically, the ASUS router and its software.

It might require credentials other than those. I don't know.
