Macbook A1534 won't boot - battery indicator

We had minor liquid damage on our 12" macbook (A1534) several months ago - we dried it out and it's been working fine for the past several months. All of a sudden, it won't boot. When connecting the USB-C charging cable the battery indicator comes on, shows 98% charged, then the screen goes black. Can't start in safe mode, recovery mode, or target mode. Can't connect to another computer. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
