Buick - Bluetooth Connectivity

I have an iPhone 6 and it will no longer connect to my 2013 Buick Enclave. We've been to the dealership for a system update, no luck. According to the dealership it's an operating issue with an update Apple completed a few months back. According to them this is a really common problem. Does anyone have a recommendation? May need to replace phone with something compatible with car and I really don't want to do that.

Hello rscurtis40,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to connect your iPhone to your car stereo via Bluetooth, even after contacting your local dealership. To help resolve this follow the other steps on your issue, including contacting Apple if these steps don't resolve your issue:

  1. Check your car stereo's user manual for how to pair with a Bluetooth device.
  2. On your iOS device, swipe up to open Control Center, then tapUser uploaded filetwice to turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Restart your iOS device.
  4. On your iOS device, unpair your car stereo. On your car's display, unpair your iOS device and any other devices. Restart your car and your iOS device, then pair and connect again.
  5. Update your iOS device.
  6. Install any firmware updates for your car stereo.
  7. If you still can't connect, contact Apple Support.
