What format video/movie files will the iPod 80GB Video play?

Hi there!

My iPod is working well, but I cannot get it to play movies. Does anyone know what formats the files have to be in for iPod to play it? Will it play .avi's, mpeg4, .vob etc?

Thanks in advance and happy 2007!
