I can see the caller on facetime but they cannot see me.

When on a FaceTime call, I can see the caller but they cannot see me. There is no small box video of me in the upper right corner. I have turned off all apps from using the camera, I have restarted by phone with no resolution to this problem.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 10.3.2

Hello cannonball25,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems you are experiencing issues with using the front facing camera in FaceTime on your iPhone. To help resolve this issue, please follow these steps:

If you see a closed lens or black screen when you open the Camera app, try these steps:

  1. Make sure that there’s nothing blocking the camera lens. If you’re using a case, try removing it.
  2. Force the app to close, then open the Camera app again.
  3. Restart your device, then open the Camera app again.
  4. If your device has a front and rear camera, try both cameras by tapping User uploaded file. If you see the closed lens or black screen on only one camera, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help.
