bluetooth not discovering

I have a brand new iPhone 7 Plus. I am trying to connect it to my various bluetooth devices. The iPhone discovers NOTHING. Just spins, and no list. My old phone works fine. My iPad Pro as well. this discovers nothing.

I have reset. I have powered off and on multiple times. Turned bluetooth on and off. My devices are plugged in and beside the phone. The help article only discusses connecting, not discovering.

For the iPhone to discover a Bluetooth device, the device has to be put into discovery/pairing mode. If you have paired the Bluetooth device to your old phone and your iPad Pro in the past, they will continue to connect. You will need to check the support for your individual Bluetooth device to see how to put that device into discovery/pairing mode. Each device can be different.
