How do you delete smart albums from photos

When I review my "smart albums" I find that some of them are no longer relevant and I simply want to delete or remove the album. I have not found a way to simply delete the smart album from my list. I want to save my photos but I just don't require or want the actual "smart album". How do I remove it from my list?

Have MacBookPro, iPad and iPhone 3G

You seem to know your way around the photos app. Do you know how to delete or at least hide specific smart albums now that the "right click and remove" feature has been removed by Apple.

Sure as posted and confirmed the the OP - did you read the thread?

right click (control Click) on the smart album and select delete smart album - same for regular albums and for folders.

There is no way to hide the top predefined albums selectively.

But in High Sierra the predefined smart albums are split into two groups: Library and "Media Types".

You can hide the Library section completely by clicking the hidden "Hide" button, and you can collapse the "Media Types" section by clicking the disclosure triangle:

After collapsing the sections, only "My Albums" will show.
