Carplay cuts out my car radio when using maps

Hi ever since updating to iOS 10.3.2 whenever I connect my iPhone 6 it cuts out my car radio after a couple of minutes. This is quite annoying as it didn't happen before the update, I could use maps and listen to local radio at the same time. Any ideas for a fix? By the way I have tried my daughters iPhone 5s which hasn't been updated and there are no problems at all. Thanks!

iPhone 6, iOS 10.3.2

  1. Make sure that Siri is turned on.
  2. Restart your iPhone and your car. Depending on your car, you might see the CarPlay Home screen when you turn it on. If you don't, look for the CarPlay logo on your car’s display.
  3. If possible, connect your iPhone to a different USB port in your car.
  4. Try a different Lightning to USB cable. Make sure that the cable is certified.

I have the idential issue as Bernard with an iPhone 6 and a new Mitsubishi Pajero. I took the car back to the selling dealer to check the unit and was advised the unit functions perfectly with iPhones that do not have the update installed. When I plug in my phone the GPS indicates that I am about 80 KMs away from my current location. As soon as I disconnect my phone my phone location is accurate to my current destination again. The unit functions perfectly with my husbands Android phone.

This is most frustrating and renders my Maps unusable. Any idea when this issue maybe addressed?

I have the same problem as the original poster, with an iPhone SE running iOS 10.3.2, in a 2017 Subaru Impreza. CarPlay cuts out every few minutes, and the suggestions above don't help. I can fix it by unplugging the phone from the connection to the car and plugging it in again, but this isn't always safe. Can this be fixed in a new update?

Same issue here - carplay cuts off the radio after 90secs when the iphone screen is on (eg using waze or any other app) if i turn off the iphone screen the radio comes back - have tried everything recommended but so far no solutions (audi a4 with CarPlay integrated) note that it used to work fine for some time in the past. Can't recall if this problem started after the last upgrade -iPhone 5s last available ios). Any help would be app
