You can check the driver for the 2013 15-in rMBP from Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support . Be aware that this is a W7 driver and may not install due to driver signature requirements of W10. You may need to temporarily disable driver signatures. Also, the PID/VID supported by this driver is different from the one you have, as you can see in the screen shot I posted.
Are you aware of Install Audio Driver Update for Boot Camp to avoid issues with 2016 MacBook Pro speakers - Apple Support ? You do have the 3.37 update.
Any updates ? having the same problem.
So I've been searching for a solution to this problem. Sadly no results.
I'm on a Macbook Pro 2016 with Touchbar. Updated the apple audio software since i heard speakers got blown out of these laptops if you didn't update. Installed the latest realtek drivers etc. Even tried the loudness equalization.
Still no results..
Switching to OSX and playing audio is way clearer and louder.
Yes everything works like it's supposed to; it's just the volume that seems to lack. I've also tried switching between stereo and surround and stuff. When playing audio on mac the sound is more full in terms of midrange and bass etc. but changing that in windows didn't affect much
That's just a meter but will not fix anything imo.
Looked into it; tho that will only result in knowing db's etc.
I just want a fix.
again the problem is that bootcamp volume is way lower and less full than on OSX. the same hardware sits inside my laptop so should be like an easy fix imo. really frustrating
It is unlikely to be a hardware issue. REW also has a Frequency Response graph, which may help.
SMC and NVRAM reset may also help, if you have not already tried them.
Are you using the same source on both sides for sound? Is it possible to test with external speakers?
I'm not sure if you fully understand the problem.
It's more like a poor sound quality issue that also results in lower volume playing audio on bootcamp.
alot of people have the same issues on mac's but everyone's reffering to realtek drivers though this doesn't resolve it.
the frequency response graph might actually show it's not using the full capability of my speakers on bootcamp. but i already know that. makes no difference in seeing it in a graph.
I switched between mac and windows again and i noticed that mac uses a 96000 hertz audio rate. and windows is missing that feature i see. it goes to 48000.
maybe that's the problem, ill check if i can add it back in somehow
I can switch to HD audio something by going into devices and search my pc for drivers instead of apples cirrus, than the list appears after a restart but there's no audio coming out. So that als doesn't work
Let us try the simple solutions first.
Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support
How to reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
Test and verify.
This should not be the case. What is the version of Windows and year/model of your Mac?
I'm done. so what I have to do next? now i'm on mac
