Pages won't load on apple music/itunes

Hey everyone,


for a long while now (months) I've been having this bug on my iTunes client (I'm running on Windows 10) and I have no idea how to fix this.

Basically, the problem is that whenever I try to access a page from the main page, let's say I press 'my new music mix' on the for you tab - the page switches to a blank page with the loading wheel just spinning...forever. I tried waiting for a while, I tried reinstalling iTunes and I haven't found anything online like this.

I feel iTunes issues in particular have always been a bit more than any PC I've owned can handle or rather, the program itself is way more than most Pc's can handle, unless you just have it running alone. I have a top of the line PC- iTunes processes still kick my processor's ###.

Furthermore, Internet connectivity presents its own issues also that add to the situation and initiate the problem which is agitating bc I get excuses from my ISP - mostly "high internet traffic", so they confirm that connectivity is a presenting reason for the issues but tell me to wait to use when there's less activity. Ummmm...what? 😑. Microsoft scoffs when I've contacted them or displaces blame; they don't even offer suggestions which is disappointing. Apple was the only one who took time to help me isolate issues. I was in great shape for a while, but I got lax and have now forgotten what we did to resolve and maintain steady use of iTunes and access to the App store.

On my Mac, iTunes takes a while to pull up but it's actually the App store that gives me fits. It's an absolute nightmare waiting on it to simply open.

After I close windows & programs I have open, and allow network access to focus on my PC or Mac versus having all of my devices pulling from my network, everything works fine overall. Otherwise, I can count on iTunes issues to occur on the PC & the App store taking ages to pull up on the Mac.

I understand you are experiencing an issue where certain pages of iTunes display a blank white screen. Here are some troubleshooting steps that I would recommend going through for this specific issue.

On your PC

After each step, try to open the iTunes Store.

  1. Make sure that the date, time, and time zone are set correctly on your PC.
  2. Make sure that your computer can access the Internet.
  3. Check that your operating system is up to date.
  4. Make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes.
  5. Check if you’ve turned on third-party security software or Windows Firewall. If you have, your settings might not let you connect to the iTunes Store, and you might need to change them.
  6. Check your Windows proxy server settings.
  7. Your hosts file might be the cause. For example, some workplaces might put internal resources in the hosts file that block the iTunes Store. Learn how to reset the hosts file back to the default.

If you still can’t connect to the iTunes Store, try these advanced steps. You can also check with your Internet service provider. Ask them to confirm that the servers and ports that the iTunes Store uses are set up correctly for your network.

Does the iTunes Store open, but you see only a blank white screen with the words “iTunes Store”? Try to fix the conflicts between software that monitors Internet traffic and Apple software.

Hey. I have this issue too! Is it that Apple wants money from Windows users and don't want to give them the service they offer on Apple devices?

What is the deal Apple? Can't solve the issue that so many users are facing? Just giving some general instructions doesn't cut it when the problem is on your end.


P.S. I am using latest iTunes (12.7.3 as of this writing).
