Cleaning MagSafe Charging Port

My MagSafe port on my mac is not the cleanest and I am wondering if there is a way to clean It. I have been having problems with connections lately and every answer I came up with was that I needed to clean the charging port. I want a Safe way to clean the MagSafe port. If you have a safe way let me know. Thanks

Be sure to inspect the metal connectors to see if they're stuck or fail

to have both halves fit correctly; sometimes the metal part gets stuff

in there that may not easily be removed with a dry brush.

There are a suggestions in iFixit.com repair guide DIY damaged MagSafeadapters.

Another thing, if internal Mag connector inside the Mac is bad: it can be replaced.

Part is known as 'MagSafe DC-in Board' is separate logic board. ~ Level: Difficult.
