FCP video out from mini-dvi to video adapter

Is it possible to get the output of viewer / canvas from mini-dvi to video adapter for the external tv out.
My configurations,

Final Cut Pro 5.0
MacBook
Mac OS X 10.4.8
Mini-dvi to video adapter for external output of video

Need to find the solution.

Please suggest your ideas to get things work.

If you use the Matrix MXO, yes. You can use the DVI out to feed a NTSC/PAL monitor. This is one of the only ways to monitor HDV.

If you want to monitor DV (either PAL or NTSC), use firewire out to a DV/Analog converter and feed the Monitor from the converter.

Can i use Mini-DVI to video adapter from macbook to monitor dv footage in external monitor or tv via rca or svideo.

Not really. It is the wrong color space and gamma. It is an extension of your desktop not external video monitoring.

Output from the Matrox, Kona and Decklink devices is a true NTSC/PAL video signal.
