split out multiple photos live

Looking at my photo shot using live. It's a little out of focus but when I touch the photo on my screen, it goes into focus temporarily. Wondering how I can split out the multiple photos and use one that seems to be in focus..

So a live photo is actually a regular photo with a little video clip attached. You can use the Photos app to get the video clip out and open it in QuickTime Player where you can copy and paste any frame of the video. I have a tutorial about that here: https://macmost.com/extract-live-photos-video.html

But keep in mind a few things. First, video resolution is much less than photo resolution. So the frame you grab from the video will be a lot smaller than a regular photo. Also, the motion of the video may look crystal clear to you, but that's because your brain is putting together the multiple frames of the video and smoothing it out. The individual still frames of the video clip may not be any more clear than the photo you say is blurry. But it is worth a try.
