I was wondering if there is a way to remove the icons that are on the bottom of my screen. Like keynotes, Numbers,Pages...its not something I think I will use often and was just thinking about removing them off. Of course I don't want to delete the app just get if off that icon bar

Just drag it off the dock and let it go. It will be removed from the dock, but not uninstalled.

The Dock is customizable. To remove an app icon, grab it and move it up the screen. When it becomes light/transparent, release it and it will go away in a puff. To add an app icon, drag it onto the Dock. You can also move the icons around in the Dock.

Correct. They will be in Launchpad, or the Applications folder in Finder.
