AirPlay will only play sound but video does not work.

We have AppleTV. When we use AirPlay from any of our other devices (MacBook Pro, iPads, etc), only the sound works. The screen remains black - no video. When using the Apple TV on its own, everything works just fine. The issue is only related to using AirPlay to stream.
