My iTunes on Windows cannot play movie

Hello,

My iTunes is running on a newly installed Windows 10 Pro machine. If I open the Movie Store and click the movie trailer to play, the screen is freezed. I opened the task manager and found that the processor is full loading and iTunes stop responding. I killed it and tried to play the trailer with the same steps by remote desktop from other PC and the video can be played. Could anyone help for my issue?

Thanks

Greetings, Terris.
After reviewing your post, it appears that iTunes won't play movie trailers on your Windows 10 Pro PC. You're able to play a movie trailer remotely from another PC you own. I'm happy to help.
Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later -- Follow the steps provided to remove and reinstall iTunes.

Remove iTunes and its related components from the Control Panel

Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:

  1. iTunes
  2. Apple Software Update
  3. Apple Mobile Device Support
  4. Bonjour
  5. Apple Application Support 32-bit
  6. Apple Application Support 64-bit

On some systems, iTunes might install two versions of Apple Application Support. This is expected. If both are present, be sure to uninstall both versions.

Don't uninstall these components in a different order, or only uninstall some of them. Doing so might have unintended effects. After you uninstall a component, you might be prompted to restart your computer. Wait to restart your computer until you're finished removing all of the components.

iTunes - Download iTunes Now - Apple -- Once you've removed iTunes and have restarted your PC, download and install iTunes again. Be sure to read over the Windows System Requirements. Once the installation has completed, restart your PC and test.

Let me know how that goes and take care!

Thanks sterling r. It works now.

I don't know if it is related to the display scaling coz Windows 10 default changed my screen to 150% scale if I plugged to the TV. What I did is to follow your step to uninstall the iTunes. Then changed the display scaling to 100% and reboot the PC. After that follow your step to install the iTunes and reboot again. Finally changed back the display scaling to 150% and video can be played now. Thanks for your help.
