MacBook Pro freezes in Safari and Chrome

Hi,

I have a MacBook Pro early 2015 and since some weeks I noticed that Safari and Chrome both freeze when I leave them for a moment. I can't force quit them so I have to shut the MacBook down with the power button. A test does not show anything.

Has anyone faced the same and knows what I can do?

Thanks very much in advance,

Bernd

Hi,

Try resetting the NVRAM: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063.

Try booting into Safe Mode: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262 and see if it happens there.

Also, Try creating a new administrator user account, log into it, and see if the issue persists there: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204443
