is the iPhone SE considered an iPhone 5 or an iPhone 6?

I know someone who has been saying that his recently purchased SE is better than a iPhone 6s. I don't think that's true at all. I think it's the equivalent to an iPhone 5. But he thinks it's equivalent or better than an iPhone 6. Thoughts?

In all fairness that chart is comparing the iPhone 6s and not the 6...the SE has a better processor and much better camera. One just has to like a smaller screen and the old iPhone form factor.
