iCloud Drive shows empty folder in file explorer

but if I access iCloud Drive via the web at icloud.com, I can see all the files there. It's a win10 system and it used to work fine until today. I recently blocked off the TCP/UDP ports related to wanna cry threa BUT I've actually unblocked them and still no luck. Beyond that I can't recall doing anything that may have caused this, other than the automatic windows update....

Any help pls?

Actually I just tried to access iCloud Drive on another win10 PC (It's actually a macbook pro running bootcamp!) via the very same wifi network. I can see all the files on my iCloudDrive fine. I even tried to block off the TCP/UDP ports again and it's still fine from the macbook pro but sadly still no go from the win10 desktop PC. So at this point, I'm reasonably convinced that the network settings I did was NOT the culprit but it's some settings getting changed/corrupted on my desktop win10 PC...
