Whatapps Web on MacBook Pro stalling

During work, I have always had whatsapp web open on my safari browser throughout the day. At worse, it would stall once or twice in a day. But since a week ago, it has been stalling and unable to send messages after only a few messages sent and received. If I leave it idle, it would also stall after a few minutes. And I had to restart my browser to get the whatsapp working again. Even with ensuring only 1 document is open also did not help. Is it a RAM problem?
