local DNS error over WiFi

Hello,

I have iMac (27 inch, mi-2011) under macOS Sierra.

On my network I have a DNS Server. I can request it over Ethernet but not over WiFi.

My other devices (iPad, iPhone, MacBook) can request it over WiFi.

I can't find it's a know issue for this generation of iMac or it's a misconfiguration of my WiFi interface.

How can I reset entirely the WiFi interface ?

Thanks

Remove all settings from your network by clicking on minus sign and do it from beginning .

In the third screen shot ipv4 addresss is different from router , suppose last character in ipv4 address is 192.x.y.3 then in router it will be 192 .x.y.1 , it totally depends upon your service provider what they allot , it changes .

Try to flush DNS caches : Reset the DNS cache in OS X - Apple Support

And , enter into system library : click on finder > Go > Computer > Macintosh HD > Library > preferences folder > system configuration : drag and drop network related files to the desktop .In your system some files could be different .

In my opinion you should consult apple support senior advisors , and the vey best option is fresh installation .

Have you got a broad band internet connection , try to explain what is the issue , is your computer not connected to network , generally location is set automatic , correct DNS settings , WPA2 personal AES is set , wireless network password is saved , no proxies , remember this network box is checked .

No it's not a home network.

Only the request to my DNS Server doesn't work over WiFi, the issue is that it's working over Ethernet. Moreover it's working on my macbook over WiFi. It's only the iMac that can't make request to my DNS Server over WiFi.

I think the last thing to do his to reinstall the OS on this iMac I think.

It may be worth asking the obvious...

is the DNS server address correctly entered for Wifi?

These settings are SEPARATE for each network service.

Select Ethernet, click Advanced, then DNS.

What do you see?

Now Select Wifi, click Advanced, then DNS. You need to choose the SAME settings in there.
