iPad Air 1 battery life dying too quickly...

So I have an iPad Air 1st gen (without Touch ID) 32GB WIFI only model, on the current iOS 10.3.2 software. I use it for normal use, going on Facebook, checking my emails, and occasionally playing a game or two. The past few weeks the battery seems to be dying at a much faster rate then a few months ago. I'll fully charge it, and in a hour of checking my emails it will go from 100% down to 10% (normally I would get at least 6 or more while playing games.) Any thoughts on what could be up with this, and is my only option going to apple for a fix?

I have been around apple products for a while and went through the normal disabling background app refresh, closing an app when I was done before I went to another app, turning the brightness almost all the way down, etc.

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, Cvan41890.
If I understand your post correctly, the battery life of your iPad Air doesn't seem to last as long as you'd like. I'm happy to help.
You mentioned that you've adjusted some settings. Make sure that you're using these tips: Maximizing Battery Life and Lifespan
You can also take a look at which apps are using the most battery power like this: About the battery usage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
