I am used from Windows Explorer where there is a status bar displaying quick information which I am missing on Mac OS.
1) Display size of selected files
and if possible...
2) Display size of current folder
Currently it is only showing me: X of Y selected, Z TB available
I know i can open a detailed window to show total file size selected, but this method is not quick information.

Select each of the files in a Finder window, and then press option+cmd+I. That is a capital i.
Try to activate the preview pane (View -> Show Preview).
Apple did not set out to emulate the Windows Explorer functionality, and the solution that I provided is as good as it gets with the Finder as it is currently written, and for the information that you seek.
Otherwise, one could augment the Finder window toolbar with an AppleScript application that sums the selected files, and presents that result in a custom alert window. Far more work than the solution previously offered.

Yes I understand how to open a detailed window of multiple selected files. But it is not a quick information like having it displayed directly in the status bar.
Yes, Preview Pane works for single items. Infos of multiple items aren't shown. The only native solution is to follow the VikingOSX's suggestion.
Otherwise, you can try a Finder alternative like Path Finder or Commander Oneand look if it suits your needs.
