Which should I choose, 2.8 i7 or 3.1 i7 "Kaby Lake" processor?

Hello

I'm a bit undeceive if i should stick with the new Macbook pro 15 inch (2017) with 2.8GHz i7 "Kaby Lake" or go for the configured Macbook pro 15 inch (2017) with 3.1 GHz i7 "Kaby Lake" processor? I know that bigger is better but how do these processors compare? Is there a big difference in terms of productivity?

I'm going to use this computer mainly for using different OS and running virtual servers.

I dont think between the 2.8GHz/(3.8 Turbo) and the 3.1 (4.1 Turbo) which are both quad core are going to be a huge difference. the 3.1 has 2MB more cache and a slightly higher clock-speed, but not 'blow it out of the water' speed.

Personally I'd defer spending $300 on that upgrade and pay the $100 for the 4GB GPU if you plan to do video editing or GPU rendering or hard gaming, and the other $200 for the 512 SSD - in that order. External storage gets cheaper by the month. Otherwise it's mostly bragging rights and if you are not doing high end 3D or HD photo retouching may not be a $300 justification.
