SMC Fan Control Safe to USe?

I've been going through a slow fan moving issue so now i'm planning to do a custom fan spped up using SMC fan control.
Generally i will leave in default until the temperature is upto 55-59 degree celcius which will run at 1200-1300 by default..
When i use CPU intensive apps, planning to set:

2000 RPM when Temperature is 60-65
3000 RPM when Temperature is 65-70

3500 RPM when Temperature is 70-75
4000- 5500 RPM when 80 degree and above ...

Do you think this custom fan control is OK to do? is it considered safe?

Thanks

SMC fan control is safe to use. I use it on my 2006 MBP due to the slightly higher temperatures that were encountered when I replaced the logic board. Based on the temperature scale that you listed, I do not see that you really need it. The temperatures and associated fan speeds are quite typical and within acceptable tolerances.

If you experience abnormally high temperatures, then there must be a reason for it and it must be determined why. In such cases, a fan control application is NOT a solution.

Ciao.
