is my icloud account closed?
I got an email saying that my iCloud account was closed. I just want to make sure if this is valid.

It's a scam. Do not follow any links - it's an attempt to get your login and password. Apple will never close your account, and if they ever have to suspend it for security reasons they won't email you, they will just wait for you to find out and contact them. Also, all genuine messages from Apple will address you by name, not 'Dear User' or similar.
You could if you like forward it as an attachment to reportphishing@apple.com , then just delete it.
