Please Help Me!

I restarted my macbook air into factory settings and I'm trying to download a new copy of OS X but when I put in my apple id it says "cannot be installed, try again later" so I tried the next day and it still won't work.

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Hi,

Try both Recovery and Internet Recovery Mode: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201314

If no luck, from another Mac go to the App Store, log in with your account, from the purchases section download an accessible OS from "Purchased", create a bootable installer using http://diskmakerx.com/diskmaker-x-5-x-est-enfin-disponible/?lang=en or bootable installer, and install it from there; upgrade as allowed to from Purchased.
