How do I turn off auto save?

I am running Numbers 4.1.1.

1) How do I turn off auto save?

2) In Excel I can file a column by double clicking the lower right corner of a cell. That doesn't work in Numbers. How can I auto fill a column?

Hi DesertRat,

Once you save a document, Autosave kicks in and you can't turn it off. It is a safeguard.

However, there are ways to discard changes.

Method 1.

System Preferences > General

User uploaded file

Then, when you close a document or quit an app, it will ask:

User uploaded file

Method 2.

While working on a document, you can go to Menu > File > Revert To

User uploaded file

How can I auto fill a column?

In Numbers, the fill handle is the yellow dot that appears when you hover the cursor over a cell border.

User uploaded file

Drag the fill handle down to autofill

User uploaded file

(You can also fill up, left, right)

Regards,

Ian.
