Can't delete documents from iCloud

I've turned off iCloud Drive, deleted all of my backups, photos, and deleted all Documents and Data from iCloud. When I look on my iPhone it shows I have 0kb of space occupying Documents. But with everything deleted, there is still showing 17gb of data under "Documents." I have no idea how to get rid of it. It is deleted from my mac, all devices, iCloud drive is turned off, and all documents and data have been deleted from every device and on iCloud.com, and yet it remains. This phantom 17gb of data classified as "Documents." How do I get rid of this?

  1. Go to icloud.com/iclouddrive
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID and password . You will have access to all of your files.
  3. Check the recently "deleted tab" - icloud keeps the documents for 30 days, so even if you delete it on your desktop, it will still show in your icloud storage.
