how do I fix this error? I was trying to post a horse video on "youtube.com" for my daughter and this message popped up:

"Safari can’t open the page “ http://v92.youtube.com/myvideospost”. The error was: “POSIX error: Is a directory” (NSPOSIXErrorDomain:21) Please choose Report Bug to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message."

I attempted to throw the cache file in the trash (I think I did it the right way and threw away the right file), but I am open for suggestions.
Thanks in advance.

Did you restart Safari after you trashed the cache folder? If not, do so and try the upload again.

If you did restart Safari, then perhaps the file is locked, which would prevent an upload. To check, go to the Safari cache folder, located in your User Account>Library>Caches: Safari folder. Right/click or control key/click on the Safari folder. A contextual menu appears, select "Info panel". If the file is "locked", it will indicate such by a check mark next to the word "locked". If it is locked, uncheck it, then restart Safari and try the upload.

In the meantime, until you figure out the problem, I suggest you use another browser, such as Firefox to upload the video.

Just a quick note on my problem:

I went to the "help" tab in IMovie and stumbled across "saving your movie as a Quick Time Movie". So that was the problem, it wasn't in the ".mov" format to be able to upload the video to "Youtube.com". If anyone else finds this same error message, go to the IMovie HD program, click on "Share" in the upper grey bar, in the drop down menu open "Quick Time", and under the "Compress movie for:" menu I chose "Web", but I am sure you can choose any other setting such as "Full quality" or "Web".
BTW the trash your cache didn't work, for the obvious reasons (this operator's error).
