Night Shift doesn't work properly

Hi

I have MacBook Pro Retina with macOS Sierra and I'm using the night shift option. It is working with sunset but never with sunrise. The "sepia" colour always stays on the screen in the morning. I usually don't turn my computer off but just put it in a sleep mode, but although, I turn my computer off and then on the night shift is still on, and I have to manually turn it off. I even tried to put exact time for the night shift, but it's still not working properly.

I'm attachingthe screen photo of the setting that I have it right now.User uploaded file

Greetings, alex.kollarova.

I see you're having some difficulty getting Night Shift to turn off as scheduled. I'm happy to help.
macOS Sierra: Use Night Shift

Schedule Night Shift to turn on automatically

  1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Displays, then click Night Shift.
  2. Click the Schedule pop-up menu, then choose an option.
    • Off: Choose this if you don’t want Night Shift to come on automatically.
    • Custom: Choose this to specify the times you want Night Shift to turn on and off.
    • Sunset to Sunrise: Choose this to use Night Shift from sunset to sunrise.
If you select this option, your Mac uses your location to determine when it’s nighttime for you. To use this option, you must turn on Location Services. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then click Privacy. Select Enable Location Services, scroll down to System Services, click Details, select Setting Time Zone, then click Done.

Cheers!

I am having a similar problem with Night Shift on my Mac. I have set Night Shift to turn on at 8:30pm and turn off at 6:00am. It always turns on at night without fail, but sometimes (seemingly randomly) it does not turn off in the morning. The strange part is that the on/off switch in Notification Center shows that Night Shift is turned off, however, the screen remains the same reddish-orange color.
