Hey, Nepsites!

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. In your post, you explain that you bought a brand new, Apple-ceritifed charging cable for your iPhone and iPad. After using it in your car with an adapter, you are no longer able to charge your iPhone or iPad with it (but it will still transfer data). I'd be happy to help!

My recommendation is to utilize the following article to help isolate and troubleshoot your charging issue: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't charge . If you continue to have trouble after going through that article, the next step would be to get in touch with Apple Support directly. They can be reached here: Contact Apple Support .

Cheers!
