I would like to import my Inbox mails on a windows 7 PC into my iPad 2. I do not wish to synchronize my iPad mails with my Windows PC Outlook mails, only to save my present incoming mails. Afterwards I could delete a lot of older mails and this way make my Outlook faster. Please help with a tip

My Outlook is configured to connect to POP incoming mails. The mails are not any more on the server, but I have backed up all my mailboxes (including Inbox, Sent, etc.) on an external drive. I would like to transfer the Inbox (which is very large) to my iPad.

One more thing I do not wish to use my iPad to receive my mails by synchronizing it to ther Pc Outlook. I only wish to have my present Inbox readable on iPad. I will continue my Outlook use on the PC. The reason I would like to do this is to slim down my PC Inbox.
So you're using Outlook PST. I've never used it myself but there is a 3rd party app you can use to access Outlook PST:

Did you configure Outlook to connect to POP, IMAP or Exchange? Are the present INCOMING mail still stored on the server?
You have to add the email account to the iPad in order to get email. You can't import them from your PC. Go to Settings>Mail>Accounts>Add Account>Outlook.com in order to add the account.
