This message keeps popping up. It's not that common, but it is starting to get annoying. How do I get rid of it?

Port is clean, IOS is up to date and only using certified Apple products that came with this iPad. Didn't ever see this until the last update (as I recall). Best part s that it pops up when nothing is connected. I even turned off Bluetooth.

Hello,

If an alert says that your accessory isn't supported or certified

These alerts can appear for a few reasons: Your iOS device might have a dirty or damaged charging port, your charging accessory is defective, damaged, or non Apple-certified, or your USB charger isn't designed to charge devices.

  1. Remove any debris from the charging port on the bottom of your device.
  2. Restart your iOS device.
  3. Try a different USB cable or charger.
  4. Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS.
  5. Contact Apple Support to set up service.

I have a genuine apple 30pin to lightning "A1468" adaptor (sourced from Amazon) and my friend has a short cable equivalent (MD824ZM/A) and we have both suffered frequent incompatible accessory warnings since the recent iOS upgrade. My connectivity is to an Alpine car head unit and causes the input to lock out with an Error - 01 which cannot be cleared without a full power re-cycle of the stereo (stereo fine on radio or disc). More often than not the recycle fails to resolve the situation. If I unplug the A1468 lightning adaptor and (iphone) and connect with the 30pin cable to a classic iPod it has zero issues (ie no HU errors)

My friend has a brand new X and I have a 6S. Both appear to have been affected since the software upgrade to 11.2

It cannot be a coincidence surely?

I have this issue as well and it comes up out of nowhere, even when nothing is connected to it, been this way for months, thought iOS 11 would make it go away but it didn’t I have the keyboard but rarely use it, Apple charger that came with it...nothing makes the error go away. This is a gen 1 iPad Pro my second one Apple replaced one mont after I had it because of another issue. Could really use some help it is super annoying...thanks

Yes well, I have to be very careful in how I write this reply because it seems that anything critical or negative about Apple gets deleted straight away. I can safely assure you that all but one of the above suggested points is the actual culprit, and that is utilising a non-genuine lightning cable.

I have 5 different devices at home... two iPad 2's, an iPad Air, an iPhone 5, and an iPhone 6 Plus.

And I can tell you from my technical analysis and testing of the above error message across the different devices, is that it has nothing to do with the hardware (being the device or the cable). It is unfortunately an incompatibility of the later iOS software that renders non-genuine cables useless. Older devices that are not upgraded to the latest iOS work perfectly fine with the non-genuine cable.

As a suggestion, I would go to your nearest retailer and purchase a genuine cable. How comfortable you feel doing that (and any reservations felt in needing to do so) I leave to you.

I am getting the same error since updating to iOS 11.2.2 when plugged into the Apple Lightning to 30 pin adapter (the square block without a cable), which is plugged into a (Griffin or Belkin) 30 pin Car charger with line-audio out.

If I plug in after the key has turned to provide current, it doesn't produce the error. If I plug in when the car is completely off, the error occurs when turning the key.

Even with the errors, it still passes audio and power through.
